CAREpoint™ EMS Workstation - More Information - Tour (Page 5 of 5)

Run Third-Party Software:

CAREpoint™'s Window's OS, LAN and Internet connectivity enables it to run most ED software. Rather than relying on PCs in other locations in the ED, CAREpoint™ centralizes essential EMS related ED tasks. ED Status reports, Pt. Tracking, Pt. History and other important functions now become available right at the point of care. It can even function as an AED docking station, with retrieved data sent directly into the medical record. All these important features not only consolidate EMS activities and save time, but also reduces confusion and errors - important factors in EMS call management.

Reliability to Get The Job Done:

Even with all its powerful features, CAREpoint™ is easy to use. Designed specifically for use by busy nurses/physicians, CAREpoint™'s icon-based touch screen controls and voice-prompts assure fast and easy operation with minimal user training. To make it easier still, display screens and controls are optimized for each of the workstation's many functions.

Crowded ED? Too many computers, telephones, radios and "black-boxes"? CAREpoint™ consolidates these functions into ONE compact, convenient workstation. If you can fit a flat-screen monitor, keyboard and a mouse onto a desktop in your ED, then you have space for CAREpoint™.

CAREpoint™'s compact Operator Position Electronics Enclosure contains everything needed to support all CAREpoint functions …. control computer, signal processing circuits, data-logger, five NetManager™ communications channels and two modems …. all in only 18 x 8.5 x 16! It can even be used in tower or desktop orientation!

System reliability and service? CAREpoint™ has been designed for maximum reliability and minimum downtime, with continual self-testing and field-replaceable elements. CAREpoint™ will even tell you when its CD needs to be changed or if it needs service! Tired of crashing PCs? CAREpoint™ goes the "extra-mile" for computer robustness, using an "industrial strength" "embedded" computer for extra reliability.
