Cook County Hospital is the largest and one of the busiest Emergency Dept in the Midwest. Dating back to 1835, it was made famous throughout the world as the location of the long running TV series “ER”. With an emergency department occupying an area the size of a football field, they handle 11,000 EMS calls annually on their CAREpoints on their five fully networked CAREpoint EMS Workstations located in different areas of the ED, all sharing a common D-Scribe Data Logger.

The University of Chicago (UC) in Chicago, Illinois is one of the premier teaching hospitals in the United States. UC also is one of the "Resource Hospitals” serving the City of Chicago, and handles 30,000 EMS
calls/year with three CAREpoint EMS Workstations, which also feature a special built-in “white board” for ED status messages.

Loma Linda University Medical, located in Loma Linda, California is a
“Base Station” Hospital, providing medical control for Emergency Medical Services for San Bernardino County, and Level 1 trauma for 25% of California. Because of its high call volume, LLUMC’s 3
CAREpoint EMS Workstations control a triple redundant 16 radio/phone communications system and is one of our most complex installations. LLUMC handles over 25,000 calls per year. LLUMC’s CAREpoints are also used for Medical Control at California Speedway and DARPA autonomous vehicle races. They even have a Mobile Telemedicine Vehicle equipped for handling a wide range of geographic terrain.
