Puzzled about LifeBot? ... Then read this...

Introduction
In the past few weeks, many of General Devices’ EMS customers have contacted me regarding representations and claims regarding telemedicine and EMS workstations made by Mr. Roger Heath that have appeared on his LifeBot website and in his mass mailings.

General Devices does not take issue with anyone that chooses to compete with us in an open and professional manner.  What we do take issue with is how Mr. Heath has represented his involvement with our products and his comparison of CAREpoint with the Heath/Lifebot product and how he is attempting to hide his activities from our scrutiny by blocking us from his website.

We are taking the highly unusual step of openly confronting a competitor this way because Mr. Heath has involved my company, its products, our customers, his past relationship with us, along with what we feel is a highly misleading manner in promoting his new venture. It is our intent to pull back the curtain and let the facts speak for themselves.  We have tried to restrict our comments to those issues that Mr. Heath has raised that concern General Devices.  We have tried to present the facts as we see them and have provided footnotes and references to back up our positions.  We invite the reader to investigate these positions and we apologize for any errors we may have made.  We also apologize for the length of our commentary, but the extensiveness of Mr. Heath’s comments and claims demand it.

For this purpose we will:

   1) Explain some of what we know of Mr. Heath and Lifebot;

   2) Compare some of what we know of Mr. Heath’s many claims about General Devices and its
       product line; and,

   3) Provide a full response to Mr. Heath’s “Comparison” chart that he distributed by several mass
       e-mailings.

Clearly, the last thing that EMS needs in these days of increased demands and tight budgets is distraction and wasted resources.  Claims of patents, FDA compliance, blocking websites, half-truths and misleading statements should be clear warning signs to those considering the purchase of costly and important pieces of equipment.  Please - do not take our word for anything - check the facts and decide for yourself what is real, what is hype, and what is true so that you can come to your own conclusions about what so many of our customers have called us about.

If you have any further questions or need more information I invite you to contact me.
