Pre-Release Rosetta Go-Box Information
The Rosetta-Go (Go-Box) is a portable 1-box teleconferencing/telemedicine workstation for providing virtual presence to link on-scene public safety personnel to hospital and other public safety agencies and organizations. Its compactness, versatility and ease-of-use make the Go-Box a major step forward for improving the ability to respond to natural and man-made disasters, multi-casualty incidents and other emergency needs.
Housed in a ruggedized, weatherproof "suitcase" type contained, with its self-contained cameras, image processing means and communications interfaces, the Go-Box allows distant incident commanders to see exactly what is happening on-scene to better manage on and off-scene support activities. Distant physicians as well as other specialists can be recruited to be "virtually present" to assist in the medical response effort immediately and without the need to place themselves, ambulances or hospital emergency departments at risk.
Designed specifically for rapid deployment and ease-of-use, the Go-Box has a multitude of practical and affordable special features incorporating the latest advances in imaging, communications and information management. Its built-in logging recorder enables the Go-Box to archive all incoming and outgoing activity for later assessment and training purposes. Far more than a simple communications gateway, the Go-Box can operate on AC as well as vehicular DC power and is capable of operating with most medical monitoring devices, laptops and digital communications systems. The Go-Box is perfect for use in mobile as well as portable command post applications.
Initially deployed in the Amazon to provide health care for the Amazon Swim Project (www.amazonswim.com), the Rosetta-Go is expected to be released for sale in the 4th quarter of 2007.
