Sales Agent
Why Become a General Devices Sales Agent?

General Devices is seeking sales agents in many parts of the country for its line of EMS communications, telepresence and telemedicine equipment.  Because the increase of STEMI programs, improvements in communications and the reliance on data from the field have significantly increased the demand for our products, we are expanding our existing sales force and we invite you to contact us if you are interested in joining a winning sales team selling cutting edge products.

Who is General Devices? -  Brief History

General Devices has been in business since 1979, initially designing and manufacturing a wide variety of devices, including defibrillators, intra-cranial pressure monitors, ventilators and pacemaker-related instrumentation systems.  In 1990, the company entered the EMS marketplace with its award-winning “GEMS” EMS Communications Console.  The GEMS console quickly became the “standard of the industry”, with over 350 installations throughout the United States.  Since then, the company has been a leader in introducing new technology and concepts for managing EMS and ED activities with a family of products for both hospital and field use.

In 2001 General Devices introduced the CAREpoint EMS Workstation, a revolutionary concept in managing EMS activities that went well beyond just communications and ECG data.  CAREpoint was followed by the Rosetta line of field devices, and more recently, the e-Bridge EMS Telemedicine System.  Chosen by Tucson for its ER-Link citywide EMS Telemedicine System, e-Bridge is the first commercially available system of its kind.  As new needs and technologies have appeared, these products have been continuously improved and upgraded to offer our customers ever increasing value.

Who Are General Devices’ Customers?
  • Day-to-Day EMS Activities:  General Devices' products are purchased for day-to-day EMS activities in large cities such as New York, Chicago, Detroit and Phoenix as well as in small rural hospitals, EMS squads and fire departments.  Our “systems approach” allows our products to match the exact needs of any department or region, regardless of size or complexity.
  • STEMI Programs:  For STEMI programs, CAREpoint and Rosetta are the clear choice for wherever different brands of monitors are used, when customers want communications options other than cellular, and when they want an affordable system that is free of ongoing operating costs and service charges.
  • Telemedicine:  EMS Telemedicine is an entirely new approach to pre-hospital care, one that is rapidly becoming recognized as playing an important role in EMS as advances in communications and information management technologies converge with medical science.  General Devices is the undisputed leader in EMS Telemedicine, with an existing operational base.  If you are not familiar with telemedicine, stay current with General Devices’ e-Bridge and be sure not to miss the boat on this!
