"The CAREpoint has become an invaluable tool in our system. Reliable communication is obviously an absolute requirement. The CAREpoint is very easy to use and yet provides an enormous communication and data capability. I have been a loyal General Devices customer more than 15 years. The engineering of their products, the service and commitment to quality and in general quality customer care has kept our busy urban system in the forefront of EMS for many years."

"The University of Chicago Medical Center has used CAREpoint Workstations in both adult and Pediatric Emergency Departments for many years. They are a reliable and user-friendly system, with features even the most computer-phobic personnel can easily master. Although infrequently used, the customer support department is readily available and always helpful.  I would recommend this product for anyone looking for new communication and information management systems."

"Flagstaff Medical Center has utilized General Devices EMS communications products for over 20 years, purchasing a CAREpoint dual-networked workstation system in 2002 and recently installing the 12 lead EKG telemetry option. FMC ALS Base Hospital covers 20,000 sq. miles of Northern Arizona and receives approximately 15,000 calls per year. The ability to view EKG’s and forward from the same point as communication with the field is occurring will greatly enhance the development of a regional STEMI care system in our service area. The ability to remotely monitor communications and access the logging recorder has improved our timeliness for PI processes. General Devices has an excellent technical support staff and handles most of our technical issues over the phone."

"I have had the pleasure of working with General Devices for over 10 years now when they first installed our CAREpoints in our new ED.  Many years have passed since that move and many more construction projects. But with each move, each question or concern, General Devices have provided exemplary, rapid and professional services to us.  From the Vice President to the service staff, I can count on them to assist our hospital with questions or any problems we happen to be having.  Our problems have been few, and far between.  It is reassuring to know that General Devices has both the skill and willingness to assist us when needed.  General Devices have worked with our individual fire departments with the Rosetta.  They have worked with our IT department regarding internet access and email addresses for our fire departments to transmit their 12 leads.  The General Devices Organization exemplifies quality customer service and reaches beyond even that to assist their customers.  Thank you for all that you do for us."

"The CAREpoint Workstations have truly brought our on-line medical control into the 21st century.  Having our multiple workstations networked affords our Emergency Department staff flexibility while ensuring the calls are promptly answered.  D-scribe has made Quality Assurance and instruction much easier than our previous system.  We have been using CAREpoints for nearly six years and have no regrets.  The technical support is outstanding."

"We are a 350 bed acute care hospital, Accredited Chest Pain Center, Level Three Trauma Center with 55,000-60, 00 annual Emergency Care Center (ECC) Visits. We have 33 Emergency Care Center beds and are Medical Control for 7 Fire Departments (5 full time, 2 volunteer) and 2 private Ambulance Services.  We have had General Devices' products in our Emergency Care Center for ten years. For seven years we used a Gems console without any issues.  In 2005 we opened our new Emergency Care Center and purchased two CAREpoint EMS Work stations.

The CAREpoint allows us to communicate with EMS using UHF and VHF radio frequencies along with multiple dedicated telephone lines. We receive live three lead and 12 lead EKG transmissions from multiple defibrillator manufacturers over these same radio and telephone lines using the Rosetta units. We are even able to receive photos from cell phones EMS carries. We like the fact we are able to handle multiple calls at once and automatically document all conversations and EKG transmissions with a single device. The device allows us to access the internet. Info manager has allowed us to place all of our EMS protocols and guidelines in as well as other reference material in the units and with a couple clicks of the mouse it allows for rapid access to that information by our nurses and physicians.

As EMS and Trauma Coordinator I like the remote monitor software. This software allows me to access the units from my office. I can monitor live EMS calls as they come in and have the ability to pull runs from the data base while doing run reviews and process improvement activities. This has saved me time as my office is one floor below the ECC. All calls are saved in the unit and are backed up regularly on a compact disk.

Service and Support are excellent."

"Anne Arundel Medical Center purchased the CAREpoint device for its ED about one year ago. The service has been exceptional, and the ability to go into the system to perform quality reviews on all EMS calls is imperative to a Maryland Base Station emergency department. We love this system.”
